Evening and Weekend Appointments (Camden "GP Hubs")
Practices in the Camden CCG area are working together to provide extended access to routine GP and nurse appointments in the evenings and on weekends. Routine pre-booked GP and nurse appointments held at four different locations in the evenings and weekends:
- Somers Town Medical Centre (Mon-Fri: 6.30pm-8.00pm/ Sat-Sun and Bank Holidays: 8.00am-8.00pm)
- Brondesbury Medical Centre (Mon-Fri: 6.30pm-8.00pm/ Sat: 8.00am-8.00pm)
- Swiss Cottage Surgery (Mon-Fri: 6.30pm-8.00pm/ Sat: 8.00am-8.00pm)
- Caversham Group Practice (Mon-Fri: 6.30pm-8.00pm/ Sat-Sun: 8.00am-8.00pm)

The CQC (Care Quality Commission) carried out an announced comprehensive inspection at The Abbey Medical Centre on 19 January 2017. Overall the practice is rated as good with rating of outstanding in categories of "being effective” and ” looking after people whose circumstances may make them vulnerable”. The Abbey Medical Centre runs a stop smoking clinic and there are also a number of stop smoking services available across Camden for our patients.
It is now easy to get help to lose weight and you don't need a referral from your GP.
The Community Weight Management Service is provided by Camden Sports & Physical Activity Service. They provide a 12 week group weight-loss programme of exercise and dietary advice for overweight or obese adults. It comprises nutritional advice, healthy eating guidance and support to get active.

-over the age of 18
-if your Body Mass Index is more then 25 (calculate your BMI here)
-if you are registered at this surgery

Did you know that you can refer yourself to a number of different services and clinics from the comfort of your computer without the need to see your doctor. These include Psychology, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Weight Management Services, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Pregnancy Care, Family Planning, Sexual Health Clinics, and Incontinence Clinics.
